I’ve been wondering lately if there is anything that matters anymore?

The President of the United States proclaimed over and over again in Western style language that we wanted Osama bin Laden, “Dead or Alive”.  But after dropping hundreds of bombs in Afghanistan and killing countless civilians we never located Osama.  So they told us it really doesn’t matter for our mission is greater than one man .

Then the President declared that we wanted Saddam Hussein, “Dead or Alive” because he was the master mind behind the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, and was definitely connected to Al Qaeda.  So we went to war with Iraq and never said that we won, but that we prevailed, however apparently we never got Saddam either.  President Bush told reporters recently, “It doesn’t matter.  Our mission is greater than one man.”

But, he also told us that we were invading Iraq to destroy their weapons of mass destruction, which he insisted Iraq had in huge quantities and that they were even preparing to have nuclear weapons.  Now long after declaring the war over, and searching all over Iraq we are unable to locate these huge stores of chemical and biological weapons, nor any attempts to create nuclear weapons.   So apparently that doesn’t matter either.

I, for one, believe that these issues do matter.  When our young men and women are dying every day it does matter!  Surely a president’s use of global force against some of the weakest countries in the world does matter.  Surely a president’s word to the community of nations and security of millions of people does matter!

When will our Congress wake up and get a few reasonable answers from President Bush and the other members of his party about these vital issues?

If you are tired of waiting on Congress to act why don't you join in with a group of citizens that want action.  We are calling on the Impeachment of President Bush and his cronies!
